The University of Washington School of Medicine MD program hosts 7 first year site locations within the WWAMI region, each of which offer a unique regional experience. The first year medical curriculum is consistent throughout the sites, and students take common final exams across all sites.

Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho residents attend their first year in their own state. Washington residents have a choice of one of 3 locations for their first year curriculum; Pullman, Spokane or Seattle. Residents of states outside of the WWAMI region will attend their first year in Seattle.
