Access to UW Resources via UW Net ID
Beginning in February and continuing through June (following acceptance to the MD program), incoming first year medical students will receive their individual Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgment (ECA) form in the mail. The form will contain two vital pieces of information:
1. Your Student Number
2. Your Private Access Code (PAC)
As soon as you receive these, you can establish a UW NetID (if you don't already have one). Your UW NetID allows you to set up a "u.washington.edu" or “uw.edu”email account, log in to MyUW and the registration system, set up direct deposit for any financial aid, and accomplish other important online tasks.
All ECA’s will indicate Seattle as your campus. You will receive your campus assignment during April/May depending on the processing of all applicants.
Your Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement will also indicate your Residency Status (for Tuition). Please note that the information may not be current at the time you receive the Acknowledgement. You may recently have been granted RESIDENT status, but your form may still say NON-RESIDENT, since it was generated before the change was made. If you feel you need to confirm your residency status or have questions regarding residency status, please contact the UW Residence Classification Office at 206.543.5932.
If you have any questions about receipt of your ECA, please contact Trish Zander trishz@uw.edu.
