  • Student Handbook The Student Handbook is a resource of general information on a wide variety of topics and issues that are germane to  your medical education program.
  • Academic Policies for the MD Degree  Academic Policies for the M.D. Degree is an updated and revised compilation of the relevant policies for the University of Washington School of Medicine’s undergraduate medical education program leading to the awarding of the Doctor of Medicine degree.
  • Academic Progress  Academic progress is governed by Academic Affairs within the School of Medicine.
  • Orientation   Orientation programs for new School of Medicine students occur annually in the Summer and Fall at all WWAMI sites.  Orientation for 2nd year students occurs prior to the beginning of classes each Fall in Seattle.

  • Compliance There are multiple areas of compliance that are required for each medical student.
  • The Dean’s MSPE  The Medical Student Performance Evaluation is prepared for 4th year students as part of the application to residency programs.
  • Residency Application Process The application process for residency begins in July of each year for rising 4th year students.
  • Hooding Hooding is the graduation ceremony for the School of Medicine hosted each year in June by the Dean of Medicine.
