Block Calendar:
Your clerkship dates must correspond with our
Clinical Schedule. You must start at the beginning of the block(s) and finish at the end of the block(s).
To Apply:
- Applications must be received at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the requested clerkship date.
- You must meet all eligibility requirements for the Visiting Student Clinical Elective Program.
- Complete the VSAS application and upload all supplemental materials to VSAS. No action will be taken on your application until it is complete. Departments may not "pre-enroll" or hold spaces for potential visiting students, regardless of their intent or qualifications.
- Due to the department’s primary commitment to UW medical students, limited space is available for visiting students. This requires the department to make the basis of their selection for visiting students more competitive, so you will also need to apply to the department independently. To apply to the department, please submit the following material to the department clerkship coordinator via email:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- COMLEX or USMLE Scores
- A personal statement of interest (please list the reason(s) for desiring a clerkship opportunity in Rehabilitation Medicine, what you would like to accomplish while you are here, and your future aspiration in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.)
- Please also include a copy of the clerkship dates that you applied for.
Cancelations:
You must withdraw at least 6 weeks before your starting date. Fees are non-refundable. All cancelation and changes must be made in writing to the Clerkship Coordinator.
