Hand Surgery - Residency
Hand and microvascular surgery is a second and fourth year rotation that gives residents the skills necessary to function independently as a general orthopaedist. R-2s assist with clinics and do surgery while R-4s are full-time surgical "hand residents." Residents achieve a sound knowledge base in all aspects of the hand, including intrinsic mechanism in the digits, segmental innervation of the upper extremities, and surgical cases.
