UW Medicine Orientation Dates & Locations
Residents and fellows new to UW Medicine are required to attend one of the two orientation sessions listed below.
New Resident (R1) Orientation
DATE: Tuesday, June 24, 2008
TIME: 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. (Registration & Breakfast)
8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Orientation)
LOCATION: Hogness Auditorium (A-420), Health Sciences Center
New Resident & Fellow Orientation
DATE: Monday, June 30, 2008
TIME: 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. (Registration & Breakfast)
8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Orientation)
LOCATION: T-435, Health Sciences Center
Parking and Driving Directions
Parking During Orientation
Parking will be provided during UW Medicine orientation on June 24th and June 30th. Please go to the Gatehouse (kiosk) located in the E-12 parking lot on Montlake Avenue NE in front of Husky Stadium. Tell the traffic guide that you are here for ‘Resident Orientation’. You will be instructed about where to park and issued a permit to be displayed face up on your dashboard. *Do not park in the lot without a permit or you will get a parking ticket.
Driving Directions
Coming From the North:
- Take I-5 South toward Seattle
- Merge onto WA-520 via Exit 168B on the left toward Bellevue/Kirkland
Coming from the South:
- Take I-5 North toward Seattle
- Merge onto WA-520 E via Exit 168B toward Bellevue/Kirkland
Once on WA-520 E:
- Take the Montlake Blvd exit toward University of Washington
- Turn left onto Montlake Blvd E.
- Continue on across the bridge past NE Pacific Street and turn right at the next light into parking lot.
Coming from the East:
- Take WA-520 West
- Merge onto Montlake Blvd E.
- Continue on across the bridge past NE Pacific Street and turn right at the next light.
If Taking the Metro:
- Go to the King County Metro website
- Click on 'Trip Planner'
- Under 'Where does your trip end?' enter 'University of Washington Medical Center'
