Anchorage
Site Coordinators: Lauri Olnes, M.D. and Christopher McIlwain, M.D.
Located at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Campus, South Central Foundation Family Medicine Clinic is recognized nationally and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal for its excellence and efficiency in clinical services. It features case managers, same day access, patient panels and a large array of complementary medicineservices, including traditional medicine. Housing is provided in nearby resicential suites at the University of Alaska. Dr. Lauri Olnes is a grduate of the Alaska Family Medicine Residency.
Petersburg
Site Coordinator: John Bergen, M.D.
This isolated southeastern fishing community of 3200, with strong Norwegian and Tlingit influences, is serviced by four family medicine physicians and a small local hospital and nursing home. The clinic offers a full array of Family Medicine services with regional support through Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka and tertiary referrals primarily to Seattle. The island community is only accessible by air or boat.
