The National Library of Medicine is a source of trusted health information for consumers.  MedLine Plus carries extensive information from the National Institute of Health and other health organizations. 

Content includes:

  • Over 650 topics on conditions, diseases, and wellness 
  • Information about prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • A medical encyclopedia (including pictures and diagrams)
  • Dictionaries for spelling and definitions of medical words
  • Health news from the past month
  • Directories of doctors, dentists, and hospitals
  • Resources such as libraries, health organizations, international health and more

MedlinePlus also offers a section on Hispanic-American Health, and many of the topics are available in non-English languages.
