Advanced ICU Day

A one-day course for advanced Critical Care RNs, presented by HMC attending physicians and experienced clinical practitioners. Content includes advanced pathophysiology, current research, and state-of-the-art practice in critical care. New content is offered each fall, with a repeat offering of the same topics in the spring.

Diabetes Today

A comprehensive presentation of topics relevant to all health care providers who wish to update their understanding and care of patients with Diabetes.

Neuro Core

A three-day course on neuroanatomy, neurological assessment, pathophysiology, and management of common neurological and neurosurgical patient problems. An excellent course for those new to neuroscience patient care or further developing basic skills.

Ortho Trauma Core

A two-day course providing content related to the management of musculoskeletal trauma. Includes fixations, flaps, replants, pain management, limb loss, wound care, therapies, and more.

Emergency Nurses Association Courses 

The following courses are taught using ENA-developed curriculum and text, included in fee. Text is sent 2-3 weeks prior to class.

CATN (Course in Advanced Trauma Nursing)
A two-day course on advanced physiological concepts involving trauma patients. Includes advanced physiology, research in practice, critical thinking, team building and numerous case studies.

ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)

A two-day course designed to provide the learner with cognitive and psychomotor skills. Lectures and skill stations are used to standardize the approach to pediatric emergency care.

Feb 25-25; Mar 24-25, 2008 (8:00 am-4:30 pm) .............. $250

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum)

A two-day course meeting WA state trauma designation education requirements. Focus is on initial assessment and stabilization of trauma patients of all ages with multi-system injuries.

Apr 11-12; Sep 15-16, 2008 (7:15 am-5:30 pm)............. $250


Palliative Care Conference

The yearly palliative conference explores a variety of topics related to death, dying and grieving. It is a multidisciplinary conference and is appropriate for any staff who support and/or work with these patients.
