For New Providers or to review material.
This 2-day ACLS course is designed for health care professionals whose occupation requires proficiency in ACLS skills. It is appropriate for providers with some knowledge of cardiac rhythms and medications but who have not taken ACLS education in the past, for those whose cards have expired, or who would like a review of the guidelines. This course consists of a series of learning stations including:
- ACLS Algorithms
- Rhythm Recognition
- BLS Proficiency
- ACLS Pharmacology
- Written Evaluation
Preparation:
A study packet, consisting of the ACLS Provider Manual, six study guides, and a pre-test, will be mailed to you three weeks before class. Areas of emphasis include basic ECG knowledge, BLS proficiency, dysrhythmia recognition, ACLS pharmacology, and algorithms. Chapter study questions and answers in the appendices will help new and reviewing providers prepare for the course. The pre-test must be completed and brought to class.
CEU’s: 13.8 contact hours

This 1-day ACLS Renewal class will provide health care providers with previous ACLS education the opportunity to update their skills in accordance with the standards and guidelines for the American Heart Association. The following knowledge & skills will be evaluated:

- ACLS Pharmacology
- Written evaluation

NOTE: In order to register for the ACLS Instructor course, you must complete the instructor candidate application form (Word) and submit it to the CTC, along with a letter of recommendation, to complete the registration process.
The purpose of the ACLS Instructor course is to train new ACLS Instructors. New Instructor Candidates are required to have current ACLS credentials good for more than ninety days after date of instructor course and have comprehensive experience in Advanced Cardiac Life Support subject matter. The course will focus on facilitation techniques.
The Core Instructor Course needs to be completed prior to instructor card issued.

This universal course is designed to meet the Basic Life Support (CPR) certification requirements for both the new and the renewing Health Care Provider. Certification is required for anyone who intends to enter a clinical program of study or work in a medical or patient care setting.

This Basic Life Support Instructor course is designed to prepare current Basic Life Support providers for their role as a course facilitator for American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Heartsaver First Aid courses.

The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who need to improve after the ACLS pre-course self-assessment test. It is specifically designed to address a key knowledge gap in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology, the American Heart Association’s adult ECG & Pharmacology Course is a new program focused on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge.

Pharmacology:
- Basic ACLS drugs and usage
