My husband is an architect. When we are not working on our home in Seattle, we're usually exploring the region by kayak or by foot. I also enjoy photography and playing soccer.
Patient Care Philosophy:I value working as a team with patients in making health care choices. I see my role to be the patient's educator, advisor, and advocate. The relationship I form with a patient and family best helps me to fulfill that role.

I have enjoyed teaching student doctors at both the University of Iowa and Yale, and now am delighted to be with UW Medicine Shoreline Clinic. My specialty of internal medicine allows me to focus on a full range of health issues in adults.
