Employee Benefits

UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics offers the following benefits to our employees:

Paid Time Off
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinic employees begin accruing PTO from the first minute they begin work!  Full time employees receive 21 days of PTO every year until they reach five years of employment when PTO increases to 24 days per year.

Paid Holidays
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics recognize the following Holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

In addition to the six holidays listed above, UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinic employees also receive two "floating holidays" to be used at the employees request.

Extended Illness Bank
Extended Illness Bank is available to employees after the third day away from work due to illness (your own, or that of a child, spouse/partner, etc.).  Eligible employees earn EIB at a rate proportional to the number of hours worked.  Full time employees earn .5 hours per month (6 days per year).

Medical Insurance
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics offer employees a choice between two Preferred Provider Plans, administered by Great West Healthcare. 

Dental Insurance
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics offer employees a choice between two plans, administered by Delta Dental.  Both plans are designed to provide employees with 100% reimbursement of preventive services such as routine exams, cleanings and x-rays when you see a participating provider.

401(k) Plan with Employer Contributions
The 401(k) plan includes a monthly employer contribution, which is equal to 6% of the employees monthly pay.  The 401(k) plan also allows employees to voluntarily contribute.

Flexible Spending Accounts
A Flexible Spending Account offers a way to save pre-tax dollars for qualified expenses.  As an employee, you specify an amount of your pay that is directed to a tax-free account that allows you to reimburse yourself for eligible out-of-pocket expenses.

Long-Term Disability
Employees who work at least 24 hours per week are provided with Long-Term Disability.  This benefit provide income replacement protection in the event that you are unable to work due to illness or injury on a long term basis.

Life and AD&D Insurance
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics provide Life and AD&D coverage to eligible employees working at least 24 hours per week.  The amount of coverage is equal to the employees annual earnings up to $100,000. 

Service Stars Program
The Service Starts Program is designed to provide advanced training in customer service to employees who are service leaders.  Participants are paid $50 for every session completed, and receive additional forms of recognition including an extra day off.

Tuition Reimbursement
UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics provide tuition reimbursement to approved employees for the purpose of continuing education and promoting career development.  We are happy to support our employees with both professional improvement and personal growth.

Employee Assistance Program
The EAP is a no cost, confidential resource that offers counseling and guidance for you and your family members on a temporary basis.  Available 24 hours a day, the EAP counseling staff have years of experience and can help with a variety of work and/or family life issues.
