  • What types of services do the clinics provide?

The UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics offer a wide range of primary care services at each of our seven locations. Our clinics offer one or more of the following specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and geriatrics. Most of our family physicians are also trained to provide complete obstetrical care - from prenatal visits to delivery and postpartum care. We also provide continuing care for both mother and baby - making it easy for you to get care for your entire family in one convenient location.

In addition, all of our clinics have on-site laboratory and radiology facilities that help you get your care more efficiently and without additional trips for tests.

What should I bring with me to my appointment?

All patients should bring their insurance card or coupon to every visit, along with any co-pay required by your insurance. For new patients, we also recommend you bring a list of any medications you are currently taking and a copy of your medical record or a release for us to contact your previous doctor and obtain these records.

I am under 18. Are you going to tell my parents about this visit?

Without written consent of the minor, parents/guardian may not obtain access to information about care given to their minor children for:

    • Sexually transmitted diseases
    • HIV / AIDS
    • Family planning / contraception
    • Pregnancy related care
    • Abortion
    • Drug and alcohol treatment
    • Outpatient mental health care

However, UWP billing has no way to insure that a bill for these visits will not be sent to the minor's parent/guardian or their insurance company.

I had some tests at your clinic. When can I expect my results?

Can I refill my prescriptions over the phone?

A prescription drug should be taken exactly as your doctor directs. If you are on medication, please track your supply and arrange for a refill well before it runs out.

To refill a prescription, call your pharmacist. If your doctor has not pre-authorized refills, your pharmacist will call the clinic. Please note that such orders require at least 48 hours to process. Orders placed Friday or Saturday most likely will be filled on Monday.

Call the pharmacy to make sure your prescription refill is ready before going to pick it up. In some cases, you may need to see your doctor before a prescription can be refilled. We will make an appointment for you as soon as possible.
