Patient Family Housing Guide

UW Medical Center is a regional referral center providing care for many patients from out of town. The Patient Family Housing Program provides the following information to help families find accommodations, transportation, and parking options while they are receiving medical care here.

Lodging can be costly near UW Medical Center. Hotels range from $75 (plus tax) to over $100 (plus tax). To help you, we've listed a variety of quality, discounted housing options.

Note to Alaska and other Medicaid patients:

Contact your Medicaid provider to see if you are eligible for housing and transportation assistance. Arrangements and approval for Medicaid coverage for transportation and housing need to be made prior to coming to UWMC for treatment. Otherwise, you may have to pay for housing and transportation yourself.  Not all out-of-state Medicaid programs pay for housing.

Questions? If you have questions after reading this information sheet, write to the UWMC Social Work Office, 1959 N.E. Pacific St., Box 356125, Seattle, WA  98195-6125.

You may prefer to call the Patient Family Housing office at (206) 598-4170 or the Social Work office at (206) 598-4370. Please leave a message if no one answers and our staff will contact you the next working day.
