Exciting volunteer opportunities that provide vital services to the medical center are available at University of Washington Medical Center. These opportunities are available in a wide variety of areas.
Summary of duties can include: transporting patients to appointments within the medical center, delivering supplies to departments and clinics, stocking and inventory of materials, a variety of clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, data entry, and assisting medical center staff as needed. Some positions may offer patient contact.
The volunteer commitment time is 4 hours per week for a three month minimum.

- Concierge, Liaison, Reception Roles

Requirements to Volunteer
- Attend a Volunteer Information Meeting and interview with the Volunteer Manager. Information Meeting are offered weekly.
- Complete a Tuberculosis Screening and receive clearance through UWMC Employee Health. Must meet Immunization requirements which includes: 2 MMR's, Tetanus, Chicken Pox or history.
- All UWMC volunteers will be screened through a Washington State Patrol background check prior to placement.
- All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation and complete job-specific training provided by UWMC.
