Once you have decided to become a volunteer at UW Medical Center, it is easy to get started. Just complete these few steps:
Attend an information meeting with the Volunteer Manager. (For your convenience, meetings take place several times each week.)
- Fill out an application.
- Commit to four hours a week for at least three months.
- Meet with the assigned department.
- Attend required medical center orientation and training with assigned department.
- Be screened for Tuberculosis and complete an immunization review.
- Complete a Washington State Patrol Check.
