All graduates of the UW School of Medicine are automatically considered alumni. They include medical residents and M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.S., and B.S. graduates. (Graduates of the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program have their own MEDEX Northwest Alumni Association)
The UW Medicine Alumni Association is a nonprofit, non-dues organization which cultivates unity among alumni of the School of Medicine through social events, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and regional outreach. By providing support to UW Medicine students through programs, scholarships, and financial contributions, the UW Medicine Alumni Association strives to create strong affinity among our future alumni.
During their years at UW, medical alumni received rigorous training and education in their fields. In the communities where they live and work, many serve as ambassadors and advocates for the UW School of Medicine. Alumni volunteer their time, participate in alumni activities, serve in medical school programs, and contribute financially. This support fosters collegiality among graduates, students, and faculty and is critical to the continuing success of the UW School of Medicine.
