Harborview Medical Center provides the best health care available anywhere for people from all walks of life. Although more than 35 percent of its revenue comes from privately insured patients, Harborview also provided approximately $160 million in charity care in fiscal year 2010 — to children, the working poor, and people who used to have some kind of government assistance, but are no longer eligible.
