LANHAM, MD, June 13, 2008 -- The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) has announced the scientific awards presented at its annual conference, June 5 to June 7, 2008, in San Diego, Calif.
The recipient of the 2008 Excellence in Case Study Poster Presentation is Kari Olmsted, a vascular technologist in the D.E. Strandness Vascular Diagnostics Laboratory at University of Washington Medical Center. She was honored for her poster on "Iliac Endofibrosis in Athletes: A Case Study", which was done along with Watson Smith, vascular technoliogist, and Dr. R. Eugene Zierler, professor of surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery. DataStar sponsored this award.
