The UW Medicine Mini-Medical School ("Mini-Med") is a six-part series of exciting lectures and demonstrations, open to the general public and designed to teach about medical education, research and clinical care at UW Medicine.
This year’s hosts are Dr. Joann Elmore, professor of medicine, Department of General Internal Medicine, adjunct professor of epidemiology at the UW School of Public Health and head of General Internal Medicine at Harborview Medical Center, and Dr. Hugh Foy, professor of medicine, Department of Surgery and director of the Surgical Specialties Clinic at Harborview Medical Center.
The weekly programs are scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday evenings, from February 5 until March 11, 2008, in Hogness Auditorium, Warren G. Magnuson Health Sciences Center, University of Washington, 1959 N.E. Pacific Street, Seattle.
Directions and parking information
Select Mini-Med sessions will be videotaped for future broadcast and as an audience member you may be inadvertently videotaped. We recommend that the attendees be at least 15 years of age.
In lieu of a registration fee, a donation to UW Medicine is suggested.
