Seattle Attractions

The 2011 Trauma Conference will be held in downtown Seattle, a location central to the area’s many attractions and transportation options.

Walk to an array of shops and restaurants, including the legendary Pike Place Market (see the original Starbucks coffee shop), or to the newly remolded Seattle Art Museum. Ride Seattle Metro buses in the “Ride Free” area to the historic Pioneer Square (home to galleries, shopping, nightlife and the Underground Tour), Waterfront (departure point for cruise tours, the Victoria Clipper, Washington State Ferries and the Olympic Sculpture Park), or International District (home to Wing Luke Asian Museum and the Northwest’s preeminent Asian grocery/retail store Uwajimaya).

Explore the Ballard Locks, Alki Beach, or one of Seattle’s many other unique neighborhoods. Visit the Space Needle and Experience Music Project at the Seattle Center. Spectacular views of the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains will make this a truly special visit, from land or water, wherever you go.
