Gynecologic Cancer Care
In addition to being UW Medicine providers, our gynecologic oncologists work as part of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), a cooperative alliance of UW Medicine, Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, and Seattle Children's.
Gynecologic cancer patients at UW Medicine can expect to have a team of health-care professionals who work collaboratively to find the best approach for each individual.

Robotic Surgery in Gynecologic Cancer Care

Located at the University of Washington Medical Center, UW Medicine has the most advanced da Vinci robotic systems available in the Puget Sound area. Two new robots were purchased in the spring of 2010, including a two person robotic system so that two experienced surgeons can operate together to maximize patient outcomes. In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, there are four board certified gynecologic cancer surgeons and three gynecologists with advanced expertise in robotic gynecologic surgery.
Where You Will Be Seen
Patients might be seen at a UW Medicine or SCCA clinic, depending on their specific cancer diagnosis or suspected diagnosis. Rest assured that our goal is to have you seen by the right people in the right place for your specific circumstance.
If you have already been diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer, you may also self-refer, by calling the SCCA's Patient Intake Office at 206.288.SCCA (7222).
If you are looking for a routine gynecologic exam but have not shown any increased signs of cancer risk, you can contact one of our other UW Medicine gynecology clinics.
