Making a Referral to the UW Medicine Regional Heart Center

The UW Medicine Regional Heart Center encompasses cardiology, cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia, vascular surgery, and vascular basic science. We are located in three convenient locations: UW Medical Center, Haborview Medical Center, and the UW Medicine Eastside Specialty Center.

    RHC Services

    In 2000, the UW created the UW Medicine Regional Heart Center for the purpose of improving access to cardiac and vascular services. Our faculty physicians are internationally recognized for their expertise in:

    • Adult congenital heart disease
    • Advanced heart failure
    • Arrhythmia
    • Cardiac catheterization and intervention
    • Cardiothoracic surgery
    • Cardiovascular anesthesia services with intraoperative transesophageal echo.

    Cardiac heart failure services include:

    • Complex cardiomyopathy evaluation and management
    • Support devices (LVAD)
    • Biventricular pacing.

    Electro-physiology services include:

    • Biosense mapping
    • Implantible pacemakers and cardiodefibrilators
    • Ablation.

    Echo services include:

    • Transesophegeal echo (TEE)
    • Dobutamine stress echo (DSE).

    CT minimally invasive surgery services include:

    • MV repair
    • Stentless valves
    • Ross procedure
    • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
    • Cardiothoracic Surgery
