What is U-Link?
U-Link provides Internet access to the electronic medical records of patients at UW Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. This convenient, free service is designed for referring physicians and other licensed healthcare professionals providing direct care.
What are the benefits to U-Link?
U-Link allows you to follow your patient's progress by viewing the electronic medical record, including:
- Lab results
- Dictated notes and transcripts
- Radiology reports and images
- Pathology reports
- Medication lists
After discharge, accessing your patient's record may be helpful as you provide follow-up care. You can print or copy portions of the record as needed.
Other features
- Medline and other UW Medicine Health Links are accessible through U-Link.
- COMING SOON: An optional feature will notify you by email when your patient is admitted or another significant event occurs.
How does U-Link work?
We provide you with a unique user name and secured password. You can log on to U-Link from any computer with Internet access. Only the records of those patients referred by you or under your care can be accessed.
How do I sign up?
You may download and print the U-Link agreement forms posted below, or contact us to send forms to your office.
U-LINK Individual Agreement Each user is required to sign a U-Link Individual Agreement.
U-LINK Group Agreement In addition to signing individual agreements, two or more healthcare providers who share patients may request a group U-Link account.
After we receive your signed U-Link agreement and verify your information, we will send you an email notice with instructions on activating your account.
