Specialty Services
In family medicine, we emphasize preventive health care, working with you when you're well to help you stay healthy, as well as taking care of you if you're injured or ill. We can also help decide when it's necessary for you to see a specialist.
We encourage you to be a partner in your health-care decisions, if you wish, and we're always happy to answer any questions you may have.
You can choose one of our doctors or physician assistants for your personal primary care provider. This is the person you'll see most often when you come to the Family Medical Center (FMC), who will provide your routine check-ups, shots, and screening tests, as well as diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Because our care providers work in small teams called practice groups, you'll always see someone who is familiar with your health-care concerns and needs, even if your own primary care provider isn't available.
We encourage all the members of your family to see the same primary care provider. By seeing you and your family on an ongoing basis, your primary care provider can take into account the relationships, events, and life changes that influence your health.
Comprehensive Health Care
You can receive complete health care in one location at the FMC. For instance, our doctors can provide prenatal care, deliver your baby, and continue caring for both of you as your baby grows into a child and your own health-care needs change.
