Our Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Care
When injury or illness affects your bones and joints, UW Medicine physicians provide some of the nation’s best care. U.S. News & World Report recognized UW Medical Center (No. 13) and Harborview Medical Center (No. 27) in its 2008 list of the nation’s best orthopaedic practices (UW Medicine operates Harborview). No other Pacific Northwest hospital was among the top 50 orthopaedics practice rankings for 2008.
These physicians bring orthopaedics expertise to the Eastside Specialty Center:
Our physicians are pioneering minimally invasive techniques that dramatically shorten recovery times. They counsel patients about procedures such as knee and hip replacement; arthroscopic repair of tissues in the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle; carpal tunnel surgery; sports-injury treatment of the hand, elbow, and shoulder; arthritis and other conditions.
Their understanding of subtle bone and joint conditions leads to insightful recommendations about non-surgical and surgical options to treat a patient’s illness or injury.
Our patients’ surgical procedures are performed at UW Medical Center, but most pre-operative tests and post-op care happens here, a convenience for people who live or work on the Eastside.
We invite patients and referring physicians to set up an appointment for orthopaedic care or consultation with our expert staff.
