Harborview's Cardiology Department provides cardiology diagnostic testing services on a scheduled basis.
The following tests are done on an outpatient basis Monday through Friday, generally scheduling tests between 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Echocardiography; Electrocardiography (ECG); Holter testing; Stress electrocardiography; and Treadmill testing.
Specific tests are conducted at several locations within the medical center. Patients arriving for tests should check in by phone on 2 East Hospital CCU waiting room [2EH-01] and then dial 8448.
The full services of UW Medicine are also available for other specialty services or hospitalization.
Referrals:
To make a referral, please use our Echocardiogram Request Order (PDF). This form must be printed and then faxed in advance to 206-744-5996.
- Specific testing requested;
- Demographics (patient name, date of birth/age, weight, Harborview patient number if already registered, insurance/payer information);
- Referring Physician (referring/attending physician name and identification number (UPIN or UWP), phone numbers, and contact person/phone/fax);
- Patient location (inpatient floor or outpatient clinic, or name of referring non-UWAMC clinic);
- Clinical information (concerns, previous history where applicable, any special instructions, prior echo/ECG report).
