Psychiatry consultation is offered to patients receiving care at the following Primary and Specialty Care clinics at Harborview Medical Center. If you are receiving care from any of the clinics listed below, you are eligible for this consultation. You must be referred by your clinic's provider:

- Women’s Clinic
- Family Medicine Clinic
- International Clinic
- Pioneer Square Clinic
- Rehab Clinic
- Neurology Clinic
- Epilepsy Center
- Hepatitis/Liver Clinic
Psychiatry consultation is also provided for UW Medicine Neighborhood Clincs.
About our Services
Consultation may include psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapy with recommendations for continuing care as indicated. The psychiatrists may also refer patients for 12 sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy with a Harborview psychologist. Chemical Dependency counselors are also present in Adult Medicine & Ground West Clinics to provide information/referral and brief interventions.
The full services of UW Medicine are also available for other specialty services or hospitalization.
Appointments and Referrals
Patients must be referred by their Harborview primary care and specialty care providers. Questions regarding new patient referrals and insurance coverage may be addressed by calling our clinic (number listed below).
To make a referral, the Harborview provider must complete our UW Medicine Referral Request (Adobe PDF) and have the referring clinic staff enter this referral via the online Epic referrals system. All referrals must go to: Service Center 21251, HMC Psychiatry Consultation AACS.
