Specialty Services
At UW Medical Center's Eye Center, our team of professionals provide you with comprehensive eye care. The clinic team treats patients with acute and chronic medical and surgical ophthalmic conditions such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, eye tumors, cataracts, and strabismus (an imbalance of eye muscles). We offer routine vision exams and contact lens fittings. We also provide refractive surgery for those who want to reduce their dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
In addition to our regular services, the Eye Center, in conjunction with the UW School of Medicine, conducts many clinical trials of new procedures or medications. If interested and qualified, patients may take part in such studies.
We invite you to visit the University of Washington Department of OphthalmologyWeb site, http://depts.washington.edu/ophthweb/, for detailed information on our physicians, scientists, and administrative office.
