Audiology: The study of hearing

Laryngology: The study of the throat and related nearby organs

Larynx: The voice organ

Pharynx: Passageway for air and food from nasal cavity to larynx

Otology: The science of the ear and its diseases

Neurotology: The division of otology which deals with the inner ear, especially its nerve supply and connections with the brain

Rhinology: The science of the nose and its diseases

Otolaryngology: The division of medicine that includes otology, rhinology and laryngology (ear, nose and throat)
