ALVA Summer Research Program
This summer research program for high school students provides valuable research experience in an academic setting and allows students a head start in genomics studies. This program is a great opportunity for students to learn about the impact of this field in science and society.
Laboratory Experience for High School Students (LEHSS)
The goal of the Lab Experience for High School Students (LEHSS) program is to encourage a diverse student representation toward a personal commitment to a career in science/engineering and acquaint them with research in engineered biomaterials at the University of Washington campus.
Science for Success (SFS)
The SFS program is designed to encourage students toward a personal commitment to a career in science and to acquaint them with exciting research in the biological sciences, medicine, and the environment at the University of Washington campus.
SET-UP (Scholarship in Engineering Training in the UWEB Program)
Students from the African American Academy (AAA) are mentored by faculty, staff, and graduate students in this hands-on, one quarter-long program at the University of Washington.
UDOC High School Summer Program
U-DOC is a high school summer enrichment program offered by the University of Washington, School of Medicine, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. This four-week program for sophomore and junior level high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds, fosters an interest in the health profession by allowing students to further explore careers in healthcare and to get a valuable introduction to college life.
