The Prostate Cancer Survivors Celebration Breakfast is the premier fundraising event for the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research. The 2010 event, held on December 9, proved to be a great success. We were delighted to be joined by our keynote speaker and UW Medicine alumnus Mitchell H. Gold, M.D., the president, CEO and director of Dendreon Corp., a local biotechnology company dedicated to developing therapies to improve cancer treatment. The 2010 event grossed $1 million to support the work of the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research — and we’re still counting!
