Proposal Submission Information

For proposals requiring approval of the Office of Sponsored Programs on behalf of the UW institution, the following process should be followed:

 
Complete an electronic eGC-1 form on-line at: https://ucs.admin.washington.edu/sagenet/

Attach the complete proposal application and all relevant supplemental documents to the eGC-1. Any original documents that require the Dean’s signature, i.e. GIM 10 forms, IDC form, funding agency forms, must be delivered to Health Sciences A300 for courier service to the South Lake Union Building. The signed form(s) will be returned via the courier service to HS A300. For confidentiality, this material should be placed in a folder or envelope addressed to Grants Review, Box 358048. Include the name/phone of the contact person to be notified when the document is ready for pick-up. Please allow a 24-hour turn-around time for these documents.

Proposal applications are reviewed on a ‘first come-first served’ basis. Expect a 1 to 2 day review period in the Dean’s office for each grant application. The eGC-1 form is electronically approved by the Dean’s Reviewer.

For proposals that do not require OSP approval, the following process should be followed:

Deliver the original proposal application to A300 Health Sciences for courier service to the South Lake Union Building. Include one complete photocopy. For confidentiality, this material should be placed in a folder or envelope addressed to Grants Review, Box 358048. Include the name/phone of the contact person to be notified when the document is ready for pick-up. These types of proposals include: Royalty Research Fund, UW Tech Transfer, CEEH, ADAI, and UW Student Tech Fee.

For proposals submitted from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) and circulated at the School of Medicine with an EXPEDITED REVIEW FORM, the following process should be followed:

For campus mail service, send the original Expedited Review Form containing the original approval of the School of Medicine’s Department Chair(s), to Grants Review, Box 358048. Please include a note/memo indicating the FHCRC contact person’s address and phone number. The Dean’s Office at the School of Medicine, or last signature point, will mail the original signature page back to FHCRC contact person.

For courier service to the South Lake Union Building from Health Sciences A300, place material in a folder or envelope and address to Grants Review, Box 358048. Include the name/phone of the contact person to be notified when the document is ready for pick-up.
