The School of Medicine administers approximately 62 federal training grants, 51 of which are from the NIH. These training grants provide funding to support over 200 predoctoral trainees and almost 200 postdoctoral fellows across most academic departments. Training grant policy resources include:
- National Institutes of Health training and career development grant opportunities, policy and guidance
- UW Grant and Contract Accounting Office information page on key financial management rules for NIH training grants
- Biomedical Research Integrity Program Series is offered and managed by the Department of Bioethics and Humanities, and includes a list of faculty who participated in this program for the past five years. The BRI program series supports the responsible conduct of research training and instruction requirement for NIH training grants and fellowships
The UW School of Medicine's Office of Research and Graduate Education updates and publishes reports and resource information to assist training grant administration staff in the preparation of training grant submission and renewal materials.
- A List of Training Grants is updated and published each quarter. The list contains details about active Federal-sponsored training grants and contact information for each training grant.
- A NRSA Data Table Resources area provides a description of the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) tables and a brief description of their content. When available, additional reports and worksheets are provided to assist with the completion of the tables.
New resources are being developed to assist training grant directors and administrators. Subscribe to the SoM Training Grant Resources mailing list to receive announcements about new and updated training grant resources provided by the UW School of Medicine's Office of Research and Graduate Education.
