Research Training & Seminars

Almost every weekday, lectures on various biomedical research topics are held at the University of Washington Health Sciences Center in Seattle or its affiliated hospitals.

UW Medicine posts a weekly calendar on the Web. This calendar also lists major events coming up in the next few weeks.

Most of these lectures are free and open to all members of the University; students, staff, and faculty from other colleges and universities; health professionals, and the research community at large.

The speakers come from the UW, WWAMI universities, and scientific institutions across the United States and abroad. Many distinguished scientists and other dignitaries have given lectures at the UW.

In addition to talks on advances in research and clinical care, UW Medicine sponsors career development workshops for faculty members and graduate students in the biomedical sicences.

To learn more about other upcoming research seminars, lectures, and other events, consult the UW Medicine departmental Web site in your field of interest.
