Note: These instructions are for study coordinators entering new studies into the external application for
Clinical Trials/Research Studies Seeking Volunteers.
To enter your study description on the UW “Research Studies Seeking Volunteers” website, follow the steps below.
If you still have questions about how to enter your study description on the website, email restudy@uw.edu or call 543-6116.
Step 1: Obtain a password
- Go to the 'working page' of the website at http://www.medical.washington.edu/studies/.
- Scroll to the bottom; select ‘Help/Options’.
- Select ‘Request Password’ and fill out the electronic request form for obtaining the password. Then hit “Submit.” You will receive a “Password Request Successfully Submitted” message. You will receive the password within one day.
Step 2: Create a New Record
- Scroll to the bottom of the website; select ‘Help/Options’.
- Click ‘Login/Create New Record’ and enter your password.
- Scroll down to the last section, ‘Update Site Content’; select ‘Create New Study Record’.
- Complete the template and click ‘Submit’ at the bottom.
Helpful Hints
- If you want to change the text of a study description that you have already posted, send an e-mail message describing the change(s) to restudy@uw.edu.
- If your study number changes, send an email message with the new number to restudy@uw.edu.
- The website should contain only those studies that are currently seeking volunteers. If you complete study enrollment earlier than expected, please send a message to restudy@uw.edu, and your study description will be deleted from the website.
