    I am originally from Idaho and enjoy exploring the Puget Sound area with my husband, friends and family.  I enjoy reading, listening to music, cooking, traveling and outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding and golf.  I am continuing to improve my Spanish.

    I am naturally drawn to Family Practice because I have the opportunity to care for people from infancy to the geriatric period of their lives.  I believe I have the responsibility to patients, to promote health and the ability to prevent disease through support and education.  My goal is to work together with patients to achieve a common goal of health and balance in their lives.

    I grew up in a small town on the Oregon Coast, went to school in Washington, D.C., and now love living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  In my spare time I enjoy making health food that doesn't taste like health food, backpacking, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family.

    I believe in treating the whole person and remembering to look for what is right with my patients, as well as what is wrong.  I encourage my patients to be active participants in their healthcare and I especially enjoy caring for adolescents, patients with diabetes, and patients with cervical dysplasia.

    I have practiced in the Seattle area since 1988 and have been a faculty member of a UW-affiliated family practice residency program since 1993. At work, I am particularly interested in the health care of women, children and adolescents.

    I enjoy working with people from many different backgrounds. I speak French and am learning Spanish.

    Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as reading, writing, cooking and learning about computers.
