18th Annual UW Medicine Salute Harborview Gala
Join Community Chairs Lynn and Michael Garvey — and the Western Washington Toyota Dealers Association, our presenting sponsor — for the 18th Annual UW Medicine Salute Harborview Gala on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. The net proceeds of this elegant event support Harborview Medical Center’s charity-care programs, a safety net for the people in our region who need medical care the most.

UW Medical Center high in rankings
In July, University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) was ranked among the nation’s top hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s 2009 edition of “America’s Best Hospitals.” UWMC has been ranked among the leading hospitals in the United States since U.S. News began its rankings in the early 1990s.

The University of Washington School of Medicine ranks No. 1 in primary care.
In spring 2009, for the 16th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report's annual list of top graduate and professional schools ranked the UW School of Medicine as No. 1 in primary care. The UW also placed in the top 10 in family medicine, rural medicine, AIDS, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health.

- Support the UW School of Medicine in the fulfillment of its mission, serving as diplomats and advocates in the communities where medical alumni live and work.
- Provide support for students, residents and fellows at the School of Medicine through programs, scholarships, fellowships and other financial contributions.
- Establish and maintain a sense of unity among alumni.
